"Free Urn Delivery With Every Private Cremation"
Peaceful Pet Passings provides San Diego in-home pet euthanasia services, using the standard of care method, allowing pets to spend their last moments at home with their families, free from pain, anxiety, and disturbances. We believe in beautiful goodbyes and peaceful moments, and this comforting transition serves as a loving parting gift to pets.
The veterinarian will talk you through the entire euthanasia process based on your interest and comfort level. Please feel free to ask any questions to help you feel as comfortable as possible. After the final euthanasia medication is given, the veterinarian will confirm that your pet has peacefully passed on.
The in-home pet euthanasia process typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. The sedative and pain medication takes 10 to 15 minutes to take effect, while the final injection takes effect within 30 to 60 seconds. You will be given the time and space you need and won’t be rushed. We will ensure you have all the support and comfort necessary, allowing you to say goodbye on your own terms.
Please reach us at (858) 683-6300 if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The cost of our services varies depending on the time of day and travel to preform the service needed. We strive to provide affordable and competitive pricing, and we are happy to provide estimates upon request.
Most people who are nearing their final stages of life prefer to be at home, why not do the same for your pet? No struggling to get into the car. No sitting in the waiting room. No fear. As far as your pet is concerned, our veterinarians are just a houseguest.
Keep this quote in mind. "If I let them go too late, we both suffer. If i let them go early only I suffer." So often we see people hang on too long because they cannot deal with the painful situation. We recommend that you take a quality of life quiz to help guide you in your tough decision.
We offer in-home end-of-life appointments seven days a week including evenings. We encourage 24 hours’ notice, if possible, but we are often available for same day appointments. You can call us at (858) 683-6300 any time to discuss availability.
The decision to bury a pet or elect for cremation services is very personal. We suggest talking with family members before making any final decisions on aftercare. It is also important to consider if burying a pet is legal in your area. Burning a pet in the back yard can present some health risks to the water table and every city has different laws regarding the legality of pet burial. Please check your local zoning laws regarding whether or not you can bury your pet in your backyard.
Our team has experience with pets who are uncomfortable because of pain and have grown increasingly “aggressive” in their old age. Our goal is to make your pet’s euthanasia appointment peaceful and our helpful team can walk you through our various options depending on your pet’s temperament and diagnosis.
It’s hard to overestimate the impact pets have on our lives. We encourage families to celebrate the life of their pet during his or her passage, and it’s not uncommon for us to arrive in the middle of room of 5 to 10 people.
We can help you figure out how to talk to your children based on their age and experience. Our support staff is there for you and your family so you can bring your children into the experience while allowing yourself your own grief.
We believe that saying goodbye is sad, but can also be beautiful. A loving, peaceful transition can be a lifelong lesson for children about death, ease the pain of previous losses for an adult, and provide peace that you have given your pet the ideal gift for a life of love.
